"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller
Ferris Bueller, the fun-loving character played by actor Matthew Broderick in the 1986 John Hughes-directed film 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off,' knew how to make the most of his time.
Some of us are so busy trying to make ends meet and saving for our debt settlement program that before we know it, we hear ourselves asking, "Where did all the
time go?"
Many people living in today's bustling society may have financial, as well as other personal problems to think about. Focusing on staying within a budget to support yourself or an entire family can seem
overwhelming.
It may be a good idea for you to be frugal with not only your finances, but with your time as well.
But being frugal doesn't necessarily mean that we have to miss out on things in life. It could simply require us to start making wiser financial decisions and use common sense when it comes to our spending
habits.
Perhaps you can start by slowing down and taking a deep breath. Consider the blessings of today and how you can maximize the value of every dollar and every minute.
Strive to enjoy the time you have each day that's not spent taking care of your regular daily responsibilities such as going to work and thinking about the bills that are due.
If you consider yourself a 'yes' person, you may have to make an honest effort to say 'no' more often. This may free up some time to enjoy activities you are passionate about. Seek out experiences that bring
you happiness, satisfaction and fulfillment, giving you a break from thinking about your finances.
Simple, inexpensive pleasures can be the most satisfying. Most likely, the memories you collect during your lifetime will be more valuable to you than anything money could buy.
